PD:Approval is international

We’ve been having a very busy year building on our success with providing endorsement services for REPs UK by expanding into India and the UAE.

The newly formed REPS India Foundation is working hard to bring standardisation to the Indian fitness industry and have appointed PD:Approval to provide accreditation services to training providers based on the global standards set up by the International Confederation of Registers for Exercise Professionals (ICREPs). REPs UAE already has a solid qualification structure with UK awarding organisations working in the UAE, and invited PD:Approval to also offer accreditation for training providers there as an alternative option.

All our accredited qualifications provide the opportunity of international portability between the other ICREPs member countries, such as Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, once the learner has joined their country’s REPs. PD:Approval provides a full set of support materials to help applicants through the accreditation process, and also offers the option of using PD:Approval’s manuals or creating an ‘Addendum to Manual’ for providers who wish to continue using their own resources, which provides any missing information once we have mapped their manual to the standards.

We are excited to be supporting the raising of standards in India and to provide the opportunity to providers in the UAE to create their own qualifications that are recognised by REPs UAE. We are looking forward to seeing this grow in 2020 with increased numbers of fitness professionals on the registers, joining the quarter of a million register members across the ICREPs member countries.
